Tall Climbing Peg Boards
Peg boards come in
different sizes for variety of groupings; 6' x 6", 6' x 12" and 3' x 3' square
(see below). Thick 1 1/2" kiln dried maple with a smooth laminated finish. 1
1/4" camphorated holes and 1 1/8" pegs make for an easy peg action. Two pegs
accompany all climbing peg boards. Complete with mounting brackets.

3' x 3' Climbing Peg Board
This square climbing
peg board features all of the same design features as the above models but
is 36" x 36" and has 61 holes. This model is best used in combination with
other 6' long peg boards to add variety to your gym peg board
combination. Comes complete with 1 pair of climbing pegs and mounting hardware.

Peg boards can be found in most public
school gymnasiums across the country and for good reasons. Wrestlers have used
them to build explosive upper body strength for years.
Peg board training
has been used for decades to increase upper body strength. Similar to using a
chinning bar peg board training uses the climbers own body weight as
resistance.
Peg boards are
constructed of hardwood materials with holes drilled in them in differing
patterns. You can get a good workout by using 1 six foot tall climbing peg
board.
Some climbers combine
several peg boards to simulate a rock climbing situation. By using a 6’
tall peg board in a horizontal manner you can now climb in a transverse
(side to side) motion.
